Cancer can be beaten – YES, it has!!

14 05 2011

I know this is a touchy subject for a lot of people. In no way can I possibly relate to or understand the pain that you or a loved one went through, but this article makes my blood boil and so I felt the need to post something.

Each year we are plagued and have our emotional heart-strings pulled by various charitable organizations who want some of our money for a worthwhile cause.

Pretty much everyone knows that April in Canada is Cancer month.  The selling of daffodils is a big fundraiser and awareness campaign put on by the Canadian Cancer Society.

That is why this article published by hubpages.com is so important.

When I worked in some of the local health store shops, we would have customers share with the horror stories of their loved ones dealing with cancer. Some had positive experiences with the treatment process while others did not. Pretty much 95% of the teller’s of these tales said they would not go through this experience again. These former caregivers decided to take a proactive stand regarding their health and began researching what other options were out there.

Rene Cassise is a Canadian nurse who learned about a herbal cancer treatment in 1922.  While initially she knew of only one herb, she subsequently found out about others and combined them to create a unique formula called “Essiac”.  She opened a practice and helped a lot of people. Eventually the Province of Ontario shut her down, here is a link to her story.

In a 2006 report put out by the Canadian Cancer Research Alliance almost $400 million dollars was spent on research.  Figures for the United States are from the National Cancer Institute – they spent $4.97 billion in 2009.

Worldwide Cancer research is a multi billion dollar industry. That’s a shame really – when so much suffering and lives are at stake. You would think somene or anyone might be interested in the hubpages article, right?
