So how have you faired over this past divine year of 2009??
Has your karma made you feel that you’ve been buried in a pile of coal or have you spread your angelic wings and soared to great heights. Maybe you have been like me and experienced some highs and lows?
I think I’m finally getting it after all these years, the highs are not so manic and the lows are not quite as debilitating, this is fantastic and something to celebrate!
The highs are an opportunity to share that joy and abundance in lifting up my fellow earth travellers to their greatness. The lows are an opportunity to explore the inner workings of my ego and to discover what motivates me to climb out of that pit of despair.
Then we also have to remind ourselves that some of what we empathic souls feel is nothing more than the shifting, changing currents of energy as it moves through, eddies around and passes by each of us. I think it is this last one that can broad side each and every one of us in a moments notice. All the more reason for us to live in the moment. Explore these energetic waves of happiness, sadness, joy, anger, agitation and the just plain weird.
When this happens to you try not to pigeonhole or categorize what you’re feeling – just go with the flow as they say. By recognizing what exactly is the emotion – you end up drawing that emotion to you. Quantum physics-ly speaking that emotion is just a wave, a current that is moving along on the superhighway of existence minding it’s own business. Then you a human focus’s on this emotion wave and it becomes concrete no longer the potential that it was. This wave as it moves into your awareness starts to take on 3rd dimensional physicality, so we feel compelled to label it as fear, anger, sadness, etc as per our life experience.
If you like; experiment with this and see if you can just ride the wave and stay in a place of compassion. I’m not saying it is easy, but it is a good exercise for staying in the moment and being mindful.
